“Of all the paths you take in life,
make sure a few of them are dirt.”
- John Muir
I am first & foremost a dedicated herper, and I love connecting with other amphibian & reptile enthusiasts in North Carolina. Between graduate school and professional field experience, I’ve had the good fortune of studying herp species across the US…from the peat wetlands and forests of coastal Carolina, to the deserts and valleys of California.
Beyond my career & interests in herpetology, I consider myself a citizen scientist and naturalist. I am passionate about travel, exploring the outdoors, and discovering new natural places teeming with wildlife…and all of the flora & fauna you stumble upon along the way. Any day outside is a good one!
Thank you very much for visiting my site
